Join us as we decorate downtown Annapolis for the Holiday season. It is an annual tradition for the Jaycees of Annapolis to decorate storefronts of local downtown businesses with lighted garland and wreaths. We separate into teams and work together to hang greens that will light up Annapolis at night. A secret party location is revealed to all who help to celebrate at the end of the day.
PARKING AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The Bladen Street Garage is free on weekends and the garage on King George will also be free for 9 hours, so either of them are good options!
Make sure to dress warmly, bring/wear gloves because you will be handling fresh greenery and nails/wires! Don’t forget hats and other warm clothing, as well as any beverages of your choice to keep you warm throughout the day!
We will also have pizzas provided by Mangia downtown mid-day!
Thanks so much for volunteering, and bring your friends! We look forward to having a great turn out for this year’s Hanging of the Greens!
PLEASE NOTE: The meeting location has changed to STAN and JOES upstairs, not Loews. We will disperse from there to decorate our stores. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Help make our town beautiful with an awesome after party for those who participate.
Join the Jaycees and the City of Annapolis at Market House’s Hopkins Plaza as they kickoff the downtown holiday season! Volunteer to serve hot cocoa, provide ornaments for children to decorate, coordinate Santa’s arrival, and spread the word about the Jaycees.
If you are interested in helping, please make sure to RSVP and contact Alexus Viegas for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org .
We were just approved for a small table to accept donations for the Hurrican Harvey Relief at THIS Sunday’s arts festival. I know this is last minute and I’m sure it will be a tough one but if we could all spend some time at the table that would be amazing. Please specify if you have a certain time you can be there in your RSVP.
Come help at a community fall event. You can either decorate your car and be a stop for our “Trunk or Treat” event or help with games!

The Salisbury Jaycees are hosting a booth at the Wicomico County fair on August 19th and 20th. This is one of the their biggest fundraisers of the year and are greatly in need of help. Volunteers will be working to cook food and pour beer for the fair attendees.
This is a great opportunity to help another Maryland Jaycee chapter.
If you are interested, please respond which day that you would like to volunteer and if you would like to car pool over to Salisbury.
Come help cook dinner at the Lighthouse Shelter. It involves cooking the food, serving guests, and cleaning up a bit. Dinner prep starts at 4:30, serving begins at 5:45 for families and then 6:15 for singles, and we are done no later than 7:00. It’s a great time and a rewarding experience.
